terms and conditions of your kitchen purchase

1. A minimum deposit of $500.00 must be paid to secure your purchase. Full payment is also welcome at this time. The $500 deposit is non-refundable. Kitchen must be paid for in full within 7 days. If you fail to pay these monies within seven (7) days, your deposit will be forfeited by us and your order will be cancelled (For kitchens that have to be altered note clause 2)

2. If you require a site measurement of your kitchen it will occur within the next seven (7) days. If the kitchen does not in our reasonable opinion, fit into your kitchen area, the deposit will be refunded in full. If a site measure cannot be preformed within seven days, full payment of the kitchen is still required within 7 days of purchase unless delay is caused by SCKW.

3. All extras including bench tops, appliances, modifications, check measures and delivery must be paid the day before delivery unless prior arrangements are made with SCKW

4. The purchase price of the kitchen does not include installation, repairs, modifications, transport, and removal of excising kitchen or new bench tops.

5. Kitchens and any electrical appliances in the kitchens are sold in an ‘as is condition’. They may not be complete and may require repairs. The cost of repairs and modifications will be quoted separately and will incur further charges above the kitchen purchase price. Second hand appliances and tap ware are offered with the kitchen do not carry any warranties.

6. All risk passes to you upon delivery of your kitchen to your site, or if we are not delivering your kitchen, then upon you collecting your kitchen.

7. Payments are accepted via cash, credit card, EFTPOS, cheque and bank transfer. Cheques should be made payable to Second Chance Kitchen Warehouse. Should you wish to pay by electronic transfer of funds, then such transfer must occur by 3.00pm 2 days prior to the delivery or collection of the kitchen. If we are not satisfied that the transfer of funds to our account has occurred, we reserve the right not to deliver or allow collection of the kitchen. Credit Card payments incur a 1% processing fee.

8. Where any part of the purchase price for the your kitchen has not been paid, then even if you have possession of the Kitchen, we expressly reserve the right of ownership in the Kitchen and to enter upon your premises, wheresoever situate and without liability for trespass, to retake possession of the Kitchen. Notwithstanding the above, risk in the Kitchen shall pass to you upon delivery or collection. If the kitchen or the premises in which the kitchen is installed is on-sold by you, you shall be deemed to hold the Purchase Price on trust for us and notwithstanding our rights to retake possession of the kitchen; we shall be entitled in any event to maintain an action against you for the purchase price.

10. D.I.Y. Kitchens - The $500 deposit is non-refundable. Kitchen must be paid for in full within 7days. If you fail to pay these monies within seven (7) days, your deposit will be forfeited by us and your order will be cancelled. One days notice is required to collect your kitchen. You will be given a 2hr time frame between the hours of 9.30am and 3pm Monday - Friday. Kitchens must be removed within 7 days. If picking up your kitchen no assistance can be given to load it. You will need to supply your own packing, ropes and 2 people to load your kitchen. Transport can be arranged on your behalf using a contract removalist.

11. If you are installing the kitchen yourself and have received a plan we can take no responsibility in the installation process. If however you have chosen one of our preferred installers than assistance is given directly between them and our company.
